The University of Seoul (UOS) International Language Institute (ILI) is a premier public educational institution located in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. Curriculum & Academic Programs

Regular Korean Language Program

The flagship program runs on a 4-term system (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter). It is designed to develop comprehensive communication skills across six levels (Level 1 to Level 6).
- Schedule: 10 weeks per term, 200 total hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM).
- Key Focus Areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Grammar integrated with real-life practical conversation.
- Support: Supplementary TOPIK preparation classes are offered to help students transition into undergraduate or graduate programs.

Short-Term Program

A specialized intensive course spanning 3 weeks during the summer break, specifically focused on rapid conversational development and immersive Korean cultural exploration.

Cultural Experience & Student Support

• Cultural Activities: Every term, the institute organizes unique cultural field trips, including visits to historical landmarks, Korean cooking classes, traditional pottery making, K-Pop dance workshops, and traditional craft making.
• UOS Peer Buddy Program: International students are matched with local UOS undergraduate students. This initiative helps students practice daily conversational Korean, make local friends, and quickly adapt to life in Korea.
