Established in 1992, the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) is one of South Korea's premier institutions for Korean language learning. Curriculum Overview

1. Regular Program (10-Week Semester)

The core program is designed for academic, professional, and general purposes. It operates on a 4-quarter basis (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter).

• Schedule: Monday to Friday (5 days a week), 4 hours per day (Total 200 hours per semester).
• Time Slots: Morning (09:00 - 13:00) and Afternoon (13:10 - 17:00).
• Levels: Level 1 (Beginner) to Level 6 (Advanced).
• Tuition: Approximately 1,650,000 KRW per semester (excluding registration fee).

2. Short-Term Intensive Program (3-Week Course)

Ideal for students who want to improve their Korean skills and experience culture during vacations.

• Schedule: 3 weeks (60 hours total).
• Tuition: Approximately 1,050,000 KRW.
• Content: Combination of language learning and intensive cultural excursions.

Campus Life & Accommodation

Dormitories

International students have the opportunity to apply for on-campus and near-campus dormitories, such as the GlobeeDorm and International House. These facilities offer safe, affordable, and fully furnished rooms with access to laundry rooms, study halls, and high-speed internet.

Student Facilities

Admission Process

1. Online Application Submission: Submit application documents and pay the non-refundable application fee (approx. 60,000 KRW).
2. Document Screening: HUFS admissions team reviews the eligibility criteria.
3. Tuition Payment: Pay the invoice for tuition fees once accepted.
4. Certificate of Admission Issued: Receive documents required for D-4 student visa application.
5. Visa Application & Placement Test: Apply for the visa at the local Korean embassy and take the online/offline Korean level placement test before classes begin.
