Established to foster global talent and promote the Korean language, the Dankook University (DKU) Korean Language Center at the Jukjeon Campus in Yongin provides a highly systematic language curriculum. Dankook University is widely recognized for its beautiful, modern campus and outstanding academic reputation. The Language Center offers international students a perfect environment to achieve Korean proficiency while transitioning smoothly into undergraduate or graduate studies.
Program Curriculum
Our Regular Program is divided into four 10-week terms per year (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter).
* Class Schedule: Monday to Friday (5 days a week), 4 hours per day (either morning session 09:00 - 13:00 or afternoon session 13:30 - 17:30).
* Levels Offered: Levels 1 to 6 (Beginner to Advanced).
* Focus Areas: Integrated practice in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with an emphasis on real-world communication and targeted training for the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
Special Features & Student Support
- University Pathways: Graduates of the language program who achieve TOPIK Level 3 or higher receive prioritized consideration and special admission pathways for undergraduate majors at Dankook University.
- Dormitory Priority: On-campus housing (Woongbi Hall) is available for foreign language students, offering modern amenities, high-speed internet, card-key security, and convenient dining options.
- Cultural Programs: Each semester, the center hosts immersive cultural events, including K-pop dance classes, pottery crafting, historical site visits (such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Folk Villages), and traditional culinary workshops.
- DKU Buddy Program: International students are paired with Korean students from Dankook University to practice conversation, build lasting friendships, and adjust to life in Korea quickly.
